All kinds of seafood
The familiar sight of a fishmonger at his stall brings back sweet memories of early morning visits to the neighbourhood wet market with our parents or grandparents. Perhaps you remember watching them carefully choose the freshest fish, exchanging friendly greetings with familiar stallholders, and looking forward to a home-cooked meal shared around the family table. These simple routines were more than daily errands—they were quiet reminders of God’s faithful provision.
Looking back, we can see how richly God has blessed us. Day after day, He has faithfully provided not only food for our tables but also loving families, meaningful work, good friends, strength for each new day, and countless blessings we often took for granted. Through the hands of farmers, fishermen, fishmongers, and many others, He has lovingly cared for our physical needs. Yet His provision has never been limited to nourishing our bodies alone. Through His Word, His presence, and His unfailing grace, He has also nourished our souls, strengthened our faith, renewed our hope, and drawn us into a deeper relationship with Him. Truly, His provision extends beyond what we eat to everything we need for life and for growing in Him.
As we begin this new day, may we remember that every good gift comes from our Heavenly Father. With grateful hearts, let us trust His continued provision, knowing that the God who has faithfully cared for us in the past will continue to provide for both our daily needs and our spiritual growth. Having freely received His blessings, may we also share what we have with those in need and encourage others with the hope and truth we have received from Him.

Bible Verse:
But he answered, ‘It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of God’s mouth.’
Matthew 4:4 WEB
Blessings:
God has faithfully provided for both our bodies and our souls. Through the work of many faithful hands, He has supplied our daily needs, and through His Word, His presence, and His grace, He has nourished our hearts, strengthened our faith, and drawn us closer to Him.
Reflection Point:
God’s provision is far greater than we often realise. Looking back, we can see that He has faithfully sustained us—not only with food for our tables, but also with the spiritual nourishment, strength, wisdom, and hope we have needed for every season of life.
Reflection Question:
As I reflect on God’s faithfulness, how has He provided for both my physical and spiritual needs? In what way can I share His provision and encouragement with someone who needs it today?
Action to Consider for this week:
Share God’s provision with someone this week. You could bless a neighbour or friend with a meal, buy groceries for someone in need, or invite someone to your table. At the same time, share a word of encouragement, a Bible verse, or pray with someone who may be spiritually weary. As God has nourished both your body and your soul, become a channel of His provision to others.
