Week 5

Morning walkers

As the morning sun rises and familiar paths fill with people walking and exercising, this familiar scene may bring back memories of mornings gone by. Perhaps you remember taking walks with family or friends, hearing the birds sing, breathing the cool morning air, or simply enjoying the gift of a new day. Those ordinary moments were never truly ordinary—they were quiet reminders of God’s goodness and faithful presence.

Looking back, we can see that God has blessed us far more than we often realize. Through every season of life, He has given us strength when we were weak, carried us through difficult days, restored us when we were weary, and faithfully provided all that we needed. Every breath we take today is a testimony to His sustaining grace, and every step reminds us that He has never stopped walking beside us.

As we begin this new day, let us remember God’s faithfulness in the past with thankful hearts. The God who strengthened us yesterday is the same God who will strengthen us today and faithfully lead us into tomorrow.

Bible Verse:

Yahweh is my strength and my shield.
My heart has trusted in him, and I am helped.
Therefore my heart greatly rejoices.
With my song I will thank him.

Psalm 28:7 WEB

Blessings:

God has already blessed us with all we need for today—His strength, His grace, and His faithful presence. Every breath, every step, and every new morning reminds us that He walks beside us, sustains us, and lovingly watches over us.

Reflection Point:

God’s blessings are often recognised in hindsight. As we remember His goodness and faithfulness throughout our lives, our hearts are filled with gratitude, our faith is strengthened, and we find renewed confidence to walk with Him each new day.

Reflection Question:

Where have I experienced God’s quiet strength in my daily life, and who around me may need encouragement today?

Action to Consider for this week:

Take time to notice someone who may be walking through a difficult season. Offer a warm greeting, an encouraging word, or simply walk alongside them for a while.
