Week 7

MRT train picking up passengers

The arrival of an MRT train and the steady stream of passengers stepping aboard often bring back memories of travelling to school, commuting to work, meeting loved ones, or exploring new places. For many of us, these everyday journeys have quietly become part of the story God is writing in our lives. Yet behind every journey are countless people who faithfully serve—often unnoticed—making it possible for us to travel safely each day.

Looking back, we can see how God has blessed us through the faithful service of many people. He has cared for us through those who drive the trains, maintain the tracks, clean the stations, repair the equipment, and work tirelessly behind the scenes. Their quiet dedication reminds us that no act of faithful service is ever too small in God’s eyes. Through their hands, God provides for our daily needs and watches over our journeys. Time and again, He has carried us safely through every season of life, often using ordinary people to accomplish His extraordinary care.

As we begin this new day, may we remember that faithfulness is often expressed in the small things we do with love. Whether our acts of service are noticed or unseen, God delights in hearts that serve Him faithfully by serving others. May our lives become a quiet blessing to those around us, reflecting His love wherever He leads us.

Bible Verse:

Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men,

Colossians 3:23 WEB

Blessings:

God blesses us every day through the faithful service of others. Their unseen acts of care remind us that His love often reaches us through ordinary hands and faithful hearts.

Reflection Point:

God’s blessings often come through the faithful service of ordinary people. As we remember those who have quietly served us, we are invited to become faithful servants who reflect His love to others.

Reflection Question:

Who has quietly served and blessed my life without expecting recognition? How can I faithfully serve someone this week with the same humility and love?

Action to Consider for this week:

Take a moment to thank someone whose service is often unnoticed—a cleaner, transport worker, security officer, colleague, volunteer, or neighbour. Then look for one simple opportunity to serve someone quietly, expecting nothing in return.
