Week 45

Take a break

Resting on a bench overlooking the water after a workout brings a deep sense of refreshment and peace. It may bring back memories of morning walks, evening jogs, or quiet moments by the reservoir, where the cool breeze, gentle ripples, and tranquil surroundings helped us slow down after a busy day. In those simple pauses, we often discovered that true rest is more than stopping our activity—it is allowing our hearts and souls to be renewed.

Life has its seasons of hard work, responsibility, and perseverance. Yet God, in His wisdom and grace, invites us to rest. He knows our weariness, understands our burdens, and gently reminds us that we do not have to carry everything on our own. As we pause in His presence, He restores our strength, calms our anxious thoughts, and prepares us for the journey ahead.

One of God’s precious blessings is the gift of rest. He gives us moments to breathe, reflect, and be refreshed by His unfailing love. In the stillness, we are reminded that our worth is not measured by how much we accomplish but by the unchanging love of our Heavenly Father. Every season of rest is a gracious invitation to trust Him more deeply.

Bible Verse:

Come to me, all you who labour and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest.

Matthew 11:28 WEB

Blessings:

God blesses us with His abiding presence, the peace that quiets our hearts, and the strength that is renewed when we rest in Him. As we entrust our worries to His care, He refreshes our souls and fills us with grace for each new day.

Reflection Point:

Rest is an act of trust. When we pause to be still before God, we acknowledge that He is in control and that His strength is sufficient for every season of life.

Reflection Question:

What burden have you been carrying that God is inviting you to lay down, and how can you make space this week to rest in His presence?

Action to Consider for this week:

Encourage someone who has been carrying a heavy load. Offer to help with a practical task, give them time to rest, or simply listen with compassion. Your kindness may become a gentle reminder of God’s refreshing love.
