As Jesus was traveling toward Jerusalem, he passed through a certain village. Ten men who had leprosy stood at a distance, as they were required by law to stay away from others. They called out loudly, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”
Jesus looked at them and said, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.”
They obeyed and began walking toward the priests. And as they went, they realized something extraordinary was happening—they were all being healed. Their skin was restored, and their disease was gone.
One of them, realizing what had happened, turned back immediately. He was a Samaritan. With loud praise to God, he ran to Jesus, fell at his feet, and thanked him.
Jesus looked around and said, “Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? Has no one returned to give praise to God except this foreigner?”
Then he said to the man, “Rise and go. Your faith has made you well.
