Paul Writes Letters to Churches Story

Silas, Timothy, and I constantly thank God for you and pray for you. We remember how you received the gospel in the midst of hardship and turned from idols to serve the living God, waiting for Christ’s return.

You welcomed us with love and accepted the message not as human words, but as God’s truth at work in you. We cared for you like a mother and a father, even working to support ourselves so as not to burden you. You are our joy and crown before the Lord.

Though we were separated, Timothy brought good news of your faith and love. You remain strong, and we long to see you again.

Continue living in a way that pleases God: avoid immorality, love one another more deeply, and live in holiness. Do not grieve the Spirit, and do not be idle or repay wrong with wrong. Instead, pursue what is good, be patient, encourage the weak, and rejoice, pray, and give thanks in all things.

Do not grieve over those who have died in Christ. Jesus died and rose again, and those who belong to Him will also rise when He returns. So comfort one another with this hope.

Since we do not know the day of His coming, stay watchful and faithful. Build the church in love, honour your leaders, live in peace, and remain strong in good.

Hold fast to what is good, reject evil, and may the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.
