Jesus came to a village where He was welcomed into the home of two sisters, Mary and Martha. While Martha was busy preparing the meal, Mary sat at the Lord’s feet, listening to His teaching.

Martha became frustrated and said, “Lord, don’t You care that my sister has left me to do all the work? Tell her to help me.”

But Jesus answered, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”
